Three insulated and heated 80 m³ storage tanks for a data center in Amsterdam

CTC Tankbouw , commissioned by the installer, supplied three above-ground storage tanks, each with a capacity of 80 m³ and a diameter of 3,500 mm, for a data center in Amsterdam; these tanks are intended to store fuel for the emergency power supply.

The tanks are fully insulated, equipped with heat tracing, and heated. This ensures that the contents remain at the proper temperature even in freezing conditions, and that the fuel can be pumped immediately at any time—exactly what an emergency power supply needs: the generator must be able to start without hesitation, even on the coldest night of the year.

To ensure safe operation, inspection, and maintenance, the tanks are equipped with platforms and cage ladders. The entire system is custom-built, designed to fit the layout and requirements of this location, and manufactured in our own factory.

Tanks of this size require special transportation. Jan Jongsma B.V. transported the three tanks to Amsterdam as a single unit and used a crane to position them on site.
