Collection and Use of Personal Data
We collect and use the personal data you provide to us because it is necessary to enter into and perform any agreement with you. This applies to both our (potential) customers and to parties from whom we purchase goods and/or services.
If you are a (potential) customer of ours, we use your information to send you a quote or order confirmation; to determine the specifications or requirements that a particular product or service must meet; to deliver products or perform work for you; to issue invoices; and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently regarding the implementation of the agreement.
If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your personal data is also necessary for the conclusion and performance of the agreement. In the context of procurement, this information is necessary so that we can inform you of the specifications or requirements that a particular good or service must meet from our perspective, send you a request for a quote or place an order with you, pay your invoices, and communicate with you smoothly and efficiently regarding other aspects of the agreement.
You are not required to provide us with your personal information. However, if you do not provide us with any personal information, or if the information you provide is insufficient, we may not be able to perform the activities mentioned above.
Job Applicants
If you apply for a position at one of the companies listed at Groeneveld Holding, we will collect and use your name, contact information, resume, and cover letter. This is necessary as a first step toward a potential employment contract: the legal basis for this is the need to take the steps required to enter into a potential employment contract at your request.
If you are not hired, we will retain your information for no longer than 4 weeks after the application process is completed. If you would like us to retain your information for a longer period—for example, in anticipation of a future job opening—we will do so only with your explicit consent and for a maximum of 1 year.
Disclosure to Third Parties
In connection with the performance of any agreement with you, we may need to disclose your personal data to parties that supply us with parts, materials, and products or perform work on our behalf.
In addition, we use external server space to store (parts of) our sales and purchasing records, which include your personal data. For this reason, your personal data is provided to our server space provider. We also use Microsoft Office and its associated storage options for emails and other files.
Finally, because we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal data will be shared with the provider of this service.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including for analytical purposes. We use Google Analytics for this purpose, which allows us to process, among other things, visitors’ IP addresses, browser and device data, and browsing behavior. For these non-essential cookies, we first ask for your consent via the cookie banner on our website.

Direct Marketing
If you place orders with us regularly or have subscribed to our newsletter, we will store and use the personal data you have provided to inform you via email in the future about our existing and new products and services, and to potentially make you an offer regarding them. We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for this purpose, namely to market our products and services. Whenever we send you a promotional email, you can let us know that you no longer wish to receive such emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
If you are a one-time customer of ours, we will only send you promotional messages if you have given us your prior consent and provided your email address.
Retention Periods
If you have requested a quote from us but did not become a customer, we will retain your information for 1 year after our last contact, based on contractual necessity.
If you have become a customer or supplier of ours, we will retain your data for 7 years after the end of the fiscal year in which the agreement was fully executed, in accordance with our legal retention obligation.
If your application is rejected, we will retain your information for 4 weeks after the application process is completed. If you consent to being added to a talent pool, we will retain your information for up to 1 year.
We retain the data we collect through cookies and analytics for 14 months, based on your consent.
The 7-year period corresponds to the time frame during which we are required to retain our records for the tax authorities. Once this period has expired, we will delete your personal data.
Transfer to Third Countries
We use Google Analytics for our website analytics. This may involve the transfer of your personal data to the United States. For this transfer, we use the Standard Contractual Clauses (model contract provisions) that Google includes as standard in its data processing agreement to ensure an adequate level of protection.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data. If there is a valid reason, you may also request that we supplement your personal data or correct any inaccuracies. In addition, you have the right to request that your personal data be erased or that the use of your personal data be restricted. You may also object to our collection and use of your data, or file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Finally, you may request that we provide you with your personal data or transfer that data to another party.
