Two special storage tanks with capacities of 50,000 and 70,000 liters for Vopak

TAB De Blesse has supplied two special slop tanks to Vopak, with capacities of 50,000 and 70,000 liters. Both tanks are constructed from 12-mm-thick plate and designed for a pressure of 2.5 bar.

In tank storage, a slobvat is a collection tank for residual products, rinse fluids, and mixtures that no longer belong to a single product. These substances are safely collected in the tank before being processed or disposed of. Because the composition of the contents varies and the tank is pressurized, strict requirements apply to its design, materials, and welded joints.

Both storage tanks were designed entirely to the client’s specifications and built at our own factory in De Blesse. As pressure vessels, they were designed and certified in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
