CTC Tankbouw is supplying 24 belly tanks for the emergency power supply at a data center in Madrid.
A belly tank is a fuel tank that also serves as the base for the emergency power generator: the generator sits on top of the tank. This way, each generator has its own fuel supply right at its fingertips, without the need for a separate storage tank or additional piping, and the available space on the premises is used optimally. In the event of a power outage, this allows the data center to continue operating immediately and for an extended period of time.
The 24 belly tanks were designed entirely to fit the generators and the site and were built in our own factory, in collaboration with our sister company TAB De Blesse. The structure is certified in accordance with EN 1090 and bears the CE mark, ensuring that the tanks meet European requirements both as fuel storage tanks and as support structures.
